Wild River Pottery is handcrafted by Herb Roth, who received a Batchelor of Arts degree from Yale University. There he was co-director of the college arts festival and worked for three years at the University Art Gallery. Following graduation Herb studied, worked & travelled in Europe for 3 years.
Upon his return to California, he pursued a dual career as artist & writer, gaining national recognition with the publishing of three books, and the creation of his classic hand thrown stoneware.
