— Planning and working to stay here for the long run ® —
Q: Why do you have such different
things on the site?
A: Because a sustainable community
has many different, mutually
supporting parts.
Q: What are you all about?
A: We are about having a good
community for all, which
improves with time, runs well,
and does not lurch from crisis
to crisis.

Q: How do you know my business is
sustainable, or working to be more
sustainable?
A: We take your word for it at this
point.
Q: When will you have a search
feature on Sustain Local
Mendocino?
A: Soon. We’re working on it.
Q: Can I trade some of my skills and
time for a banner on “SLM?”
A: Yes. Ask us. We could use
someone with fancier
computer skills, for instance.
Q: I’m an artist. What I do doesn’t
make much money. Can I get a
discount?
A: Yes. Ask us.
Q: Is Sustain Local Mendocino a
non-profit?
A: Yes it will be, but we haven’t filed
papers yet.
Q: What doesn’t go on the Sustain
Local Mendocino site?
A: Negativity, party politics and
“causes” are right out, because
they promote division, and to have
a happy, sustainable future, we all
need to work together.
Q: You have some government stuff
on Sustain Local Mendocino, isn’t
that political?
A: Sustain Local Mendocino allows
local government to have a
presence, but only for improving
the nuts and bolts of running the
county. We don’t allow
campaigning.
